AUTUMN FASHION | How to style tassel boots..

I know some of us find it difficult to style and accessorise our outfits in the colder months and some  just can't pull themselves away from the all black look - Not that there's anything wrong with that, i love black too but i also love to try new looks and add a bit of print and colour to my more covered and layered looks in Autumn and winter.

Although it has been freezing here in Scotland, we've been blessed with beautiful weather all week! Perfect opportunity to change things up a bit and add more colour to your outfits. I started off with just a basic white top from Mango and my ripped denims but wanted to add a tad more life to the outfit when i left the house, so i grabbed my must have trench, new boots and threw on a scarf - it's amazing what a printed scarf can do to an outfit!

I got these boots as a gift and love them so much - they're ridiculously comfortable too. The colour looks great with denim and made a change from my usual black boots or timberlands. Unfortunately i'm not entirely sure where the boots are from as they were gifted but i'm sure you'd be able to find them somewhere online - I've linked pretty much identical black ones below.

As you might of read in my previous post, a beige trench coat is a wardrobe essential. I threw it on with this outfit as it matches better than any of my other coats and instantly makes a casual outfit look more smart. I'll link a similar one below for you as well.

Thanks for stopping by, i post twice a week so follow me on twitter or instagram for the most recent looks and updates.

WINTER WOOLY | Staying cosy with Missguided..

You know when you're looking for that perfect winter jumper that goes with just about anything and easy to wear? Well, fear no more... I found it! The grey colour is so easy to pair with other colours during winter and is that little bit more exciting than black - the easy option that everyone seems to grab at this time of year - we're all guilty of it, including myself.

This jumper from Missguided is so soft and comfortable to wear. The oversized style is great for that effortless look and if you're looking for a bit of comfort on the colder nights. I've worn this out for a day shopping in the town with my leather trousers as well as lounging on the sofa and travelling.  I actually purchased it for my travels to lanzarote where you just want to be comfortable and cosy for when you land back in rainy Glasgow. Great purchase at an affordable price!

ZARA | This seasons must have silver puffer..

Can you believe a few weeks ago i was basking in the 28 degree heat? Now this dark and cold weather has FORCED me to get this jacket....... Yeah, we'll go with that. 🙊

You've probably started to see them pop up on the likes of insta and twitter or the 'new in' section of your favourite online fashion stores. I knew it was for me when the Tommy Hilfiger one stared right back at me when i was browsing the just arrived in Urban Outfitters. Could i justify spending almost 200 quid on it? Probably not and to be honest i'm a dab hand at finding high end copies at great prices, so i went for the ZARA one. To be completely honest with you, the colour isn't as nice - this one is a bit darker and obviously not as good material, however, i prefer the style of this one. A lot of the other styles are a bit boxy and oversized which can be a bit over the top and can drown you if not styled properly. I like how this one is more of a bomber still and nips in at the hips to give you a bit more shape - overall a great purchase!

Tried to keep it quite simple with my Mango leather trousers that i'm living in at the moment and my converse that had been thrown to the back of my wardrobe and forgotten about? WELL fear no more you little white beauties cause you're back out to play........... Until it rains. ☔

I've got another more, dramatic look shall i say, with this jacket to show you how to style it bit more 'streetwear' if that's something you'd be interested in.

Let me know what you think of these?

Thanks for reading and i'll see you soon!

MANGO | Must have leather trousers..

It's officially love. I'd been hunting for trousers like these for about a year now, after the ZARA ones had sold out and i couldn't find them anywhere. I'd purchased ones from H&M and New Look before, but they never quite cut it. They were a really plastic like leather with one or two zips at the pockets, i only wore them once then realised they were a waste of dollaaaaars! BUT, when i went into Mango the other week for a quick look and to see some friends (i used to work for Mango and never really shopped there before, i had the same perception as everyone else - older market, very expensive) i finally found the perfect leather trousers - with both the biker knees and the multiple zips i'd been searching for, for what feels like forever. The collection they've got just now is the best i've seen, everything from the wooly leather jackets to the finest knits you'll see all winter. Honestly wish i had the pennies to splurge in there for this season. Don't get me wrong, Mango isn't as expensive as people think, the coats tend to be a little pricey and few other random bits and pieces but the majority of items are priced like ZARA or Topshop - Infact, their t-shirts and basics tend to be a bit cheaper in my opinion, i've got loads of basic tops and t-shirts from there for 5 or 6 quid - without discount. Both my favourite ripped denim jeans from Mango were only about 29.99 and some of my favourite knits were only like 19.99. It's honestly one of my favourite stores now and would highly recommend, they cater for everyone and at such an affordable price. I'd also recommend to visit the stores, the website does not do any of the items justice in my opinion, but that's maybe just me?

I watched the collections change every season during the 2 years i was there and they honestly got better and better. The last 2 collections i saw when i was there were on point - season 7 was a game changer, not only for the stylish and on trend garments that were rolling in every week but the prices! Collections were starting to showcase even more fashionable items but at a more affordable price. Obviously i don't work for them anymore but when i went in the other week, the collections and items they've got in store just now are phenomenal. I actually text the visual merchandiser that night praising her work and the items they've got in store at the moment, she agreed that it was the best she'd seen too.

You'll be seeing A LOT more of these trousers on here but today i paired them with my blue Topshop shirt and my Mango trench i got last year. If you don't have a camel coloured trench in your wardrobe yet then make sure you invest in one this season, whether its a high street one from Mango or River Island or a luxury one from Burberry - they're so easy to style, can make any outfit look elegant and will never go out of fashion - a wardrobe essential.

Thanks for reading guys, let me know what you think if you decide to visit a mango store this season.

Have a lovely weekend!

PUERTO DEL CARMEN | My trip to Lanzarote..

For any of you that follow me on Instagram or Twitter will know that i've just got back from an amazing trip to Lanzarote. It's my second time to Puerto Del Carmen and would honestly go back again. The old town is perfect for a relaxing and chilled time away, exactly what i was looking for at this time of year before we start off an even better 2017!

I took my Canon DSLR with me to catch some great shots, everything was going great until BOOM... Battery is too low. You're probably thinking "oh that's fine just charge it while you're out for a stroll along the beach" no, not me.. Cause i obviously left the charger back in sunny Scotland... I was honestly so annoyed with myself for about an hour, but i was on holiday with lovely weather, beautiful views and great company - I couldn't dwell on it for too long! Although it certainly wasn't the same, me and my boyfriends phones had to do. So if you see some great quality shots - particularly the gold swimsuit and views from the apartment - then pretty mediocre ones to be honest, you know why.

Who remembers these bad boys? Fantastic ice cold while chilling on the balcony!

Gold swimsuit - Missguided - HERE

When this arrived i thought how the hell am i gonna get this on?! It's like a tight latex material but honestly so flattering, it holds you in all the right places but shows off all your curves at the same time. Once you get it over your behind its easy from there, haha! Anyone that's got a little more boobs than myself to fill it out will actually look amazing in it, i couldn't recommend enough!

I absolutely LOVE the pool on holidays, our pool was lovely and deep but unfortunately not heated for my boyfriend. He's rubbish in the pool and took about an hour to actually get in. He's more of a beach person but i hate the beach - it's just messy and overcrowded. I'm a bit scared of the sea too, i mean i love all the creatures in the sea and some things you see on the documentaries are just beautiful but i'm not getting in with them, haha! I don't like not knowing whats in there, but you can see in a pool and the worst you're gonna get in there is a dead fly!

The view from our apartment was beautiful!!

We stayed in the most beautiful apartment with the most incredible view, honestly we couldn't of asked for anything more. We had everything we needed from milk, wine, beers and snacks to hair dryer and straighteners. The view was something i'd never experienced before, being able to wake up at 7am and enjoy your breakfast on the balcony with that view was priceless. The pristine and modern decor of the apartment made the holiday that bit more relaxing and special, and just minutes walk from the old harbour, beach and the main strip.

I couldn't recommend enough! When i saw the photos online i fell in love and knew i HAD to go there, no where else could compete. Louise was so helpful, she picked us up from the airport and showed us the area before welcoming us into the apartment.

For anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in luxury check out the apartment HERE for more photos and info and to book with Louise.

Bikini bottoms - Ebay - HERE
Kaftan - River Island

I think i got this Kaftan in the summer months for my holiday so i can't find it online anymore - eBay or depop may be a shout? Was looking for a white bikini to go with it for a while and decided to get these brazilian like bottoms off Ebay and the top from Missguided, as i think i'm not the only girl who has the problem of getting a set to fit your top and bottoms perfectly.

Our last night there we decided to have a meal and drinks while watching the sun set, the view from that restaurant is honestly breathtaking. I had the tuna steaks done in tomato and basil washed down with a big glass of sangria. I love having fish and shellfish when i'm away as it's not too heavy, that and some nice fruit along with it - so basically a prawn cocktail will happily satisfy me. We finished off our holiday with a long walk down the main strip and a trip to the shopping centre, which has a big rooftop cinema with massive comfy sofas and drinks to enjoy.

Another one of my favourites right here - i love the silver colour and the bandage material. The high rise bottoms are so flattering on. Again, the only problem is the bottoms were ever so slightly too big at the back where as the top fit perfectly. I have linked this one above, but i think it comes in black and white also.

I couldn't recommend enough - the atmosphere, the people, the views and the weather honestly make Lanzarote a must see destination whether it's in the summer or winter months!

Thanks for reading and let me know if you've been or thinking to go sometime soon.

Give thanks,
Much love,

CASUAL LAYERS | the perfect Autumn day..

Anyone who follows me on Instagram or Facebook will know that i got back from holiday last night and it was honestly one of the best trips away - chill time, food and drinks. It was very much needed, just to recharge and plan for next year. My photos will be posted next week at some point - we stayed in one of the most beautiful apartments which i will leave links to for those of you that were asking.

But now i'm back to wind and rain and more layered outfits - no more waking up at 7am and lying on the balcony with breakfast, i'm currently sitting on the sofa with my dressing gown on and a massive mug of tea - not gonna lie, could be a lot worse!

The weather is actually lovely today, yes its cold, but there's zero wind with blue skies - the perfect Autumn day! This outfit is perfect for a day like this, maybe bring a big scarf with you for when it starts to get a bit more chilly.

Paired my favourite ever jeans with my Adidas superstars and my khaki jacket. I think these blue denim like shirts look really nice under a khaki jacket, i just threw on a basic white vest underneath and we're ready to go. Pretty sure everyone must own a pair of superstars now, they're so easy to wear and style, and because they're more of a fashion trainer than gym they look a lot nicer with jeans and culottes and loads of other outfits.

Thanks for reading guys, i've got a fun filled weekend with my loved ones, hope you do too!
