BOLD STATEMENT | red lip & leopard print..

I'm not a lipstick person at all, i prefer more of a nude lip crayon - i prefer more subtle colours on my lips or just lip balm. I decided to give the red lip a go as i think it looks great in Autumn with the darker and more layered outfits that we're transitioning into now. I happened to pick up a few more nail polishes from Poundland too - bright red being one of them. Can i just mention that Poundland do the best i've ever tried. I mean, i'm not a nail expert - painting my nails is like a chore ultimately for me. But i have had different colors from Barry M, nails Inc, Rimmel, Revlon (my second favorite) and many more but none of these beat the color, ease of application and durability like the make up gallery collection from Poundland. Yes, you can get some amazing colors at Revlon but the ease of application from the ones i've tried is not the best, you can get great colors and ease of application from Barry M but you have to do like 2 to 3 coats before it lasts any length of time. This May just be from my experience, but you get my point. The Make Up Gallery at Poundland, baring in mind i have not tried any of the Make up, but the nail polish, for only a quid - AMAZING.

Anyway, now that i've finished rambling on about Poundlands nail polish, i can now move onto what i'm wearing. I picked up this top from River Island the other day. It's different to the other more fitted choker neck tops i've got but in a nice way. The loose materials and longer length makes it great for this time of year to layer with jumpers and jackets and is very comfortable and easy to wear a vest under if you're feeling a bit more chilly. I decided to go for an all black look to make the lip and nail colour stand out a bit more. Leopard print with red lips can be a bit risky but a thin scarf with a soft print is just enough to make the colour pop.
